Frequently Asked Questions

How are you different from other medical billing services?

APS Billing is the right balance between a small business and a large corporation. Our staff is well-equipped to handle all your medical billing needs. We can educate you about the software we use, manage it for you, and communicate with medical insurance companies and your patients. APS Billing is available in off-hours to help you. Overall, we work to make your practice run more smoothly, giving your staff more time to focus on your patients’ care.

What do you charge for your services?

APS Billing charges a flat rate of 6% on all monies collected. APS Billing understands the burdens put on a start-up practice. In order to give our clients, regardless of size the best service possible, there is $500 monthly minimum or 6%, whichever is greater.

I’m part of a small medical practice. Are we too small to work with you?

Working with small- and medium-sized medical practices is our specialty. No medical practice is too small for our services.

What can we expect if we hire you for medical billing for our practice?

You can expect accuracy and quality, timely service and an accessible staff.

How long will it take my office to get paid?

Typically, your office will be paid on a claim in 7-30 business days from submission. Depending on the insurance company and the type of claims submitted you may get paid in as little as 7 days. APS Billing will work tirelessly to ensure that every claim is resolved as quickly as possible.

Do you charge startup fees and what are the options for contracts?

Unlike some medical billing companies, APS Billing does not charge startup fees, nor do we make you sign a contract to do business with us. We’re happy to work with you, but do not obligate you to any specific time period.
